BrunMed releases Officemed, a Tablet PC EMR

Wed, 10 Sep 2003

BrunMed announced today the official release of Officemed, an electronic medical record (EMR) designed and built to take advantage of the new Tablet PCs and the Microsoft Windows® XP Tablet operating system.

?Officemed promises to usher in a new era in electronic medical records with handwriting and total mobility.? said Michael Milne, CEO of BrunMed. ?No longer will doctors be restricted in patient chart entry to the keyboard or the totally unsatisfying ?point and click?. The addition of diagrams and handwritten forms into an electronic patient record is now possible with Officemed.?

?This is new technology with Scriptnetics leading the way,? said Milne. ?While Officemed is fully functional and a giant step up from older keyboard only technologies it has only scratched the surface in what can be accomplished with the new Microsoft XP Tablet operating system.? Officemed requires a Tablet PC for handwriting entry. Information about Officemed can be viewed at www.scriptnetics.com
