Medscribbler version 2.0 released
Tue, 01 Mar 2005BrunMed, Inc. announced today release of version 2.0 of its flagship product Medscribbler. Medscribbler was the first electronic medical record (EMR) to use the capabilities of the Tablet PC and the Microsoft Windows® XP Tablet operating system for embedded handwriting and handwriting to text conversion.
This is a significant upgrade to the original version that will allow us to continue to adapt for many years in the changing healthcare market, said Michael Milne, CEO of BrunMed.
?Version 2.0 has a few added features that have been requested by our customers,? said Milne, ?but the most significant upgrades have been in the database handling of handwriting. These upgrades have set the stage for us to really move the handwriting forward as a key component for a future product line expansion as well as adding the fine touches a broader market will be requesting.?
Medscribbler was the first electronic medical record (EMR) designed and built to take full advantage of Tablet PCs and the Microsoft Windows® XP Tablet operating system. Medscribbler accepts input via keyboard, voice recognition and on a Tablet PC by handwriting through application embedded, context sensitive, entry boxes.
